2049 (Knife Bag): Crumpler x Hugh Allen

From early apprenticeships at esteemed establishments such as Rockpool Group and Vue de Monde to the world-renowned Noma in Copenhagen, As a part of the Noma team, His experiences at Noma’s original location, the 2016 Sydney pop-up, the 2018 Mexico pop-up, & the opening of Noma 2.0 returning was life-changing for Hugh. In late 2018, Hugh returned to his roots in Melbourne as the executive chef of Vue de Monde, he became one of the youngest chefs ever to be awarded three hats in the Good Food Guide and was named Australia’s Chef of the Year at the 2023 Gourmet Traveller Awards.

2049 is a secure knife carrier for professional chefs and sword swallowers. Designed in collaboration with Hugh Allen, the executive chef at Melbourne’s Vue de Monde, this knife bag reflects a shared passion for craftsmanship and quality in the culinary world.

A heavy-weight Classic Cordura fabric. Made from high tenacity nylon 6,6 Cordura yarn, this fabric is incredibly strong. Highly tear-resistant and abrasion resistant making this an excellent fabric for making ultra-tough bags. Made even more water-resistant specifically for Crumpler.




Hydrostatic Head Rating: 1000mm

A lightweight recycled polyester fabric with a ripstop weave. The ripstop grid increases tear resistance and gives a textural hand feel. Made from 100% recycled PET bottles.
